How often do you need to replace the timing belt in an Audi?

I have an Audi A4 and I'm wondering how often the timing belt needs to be replaced. I've heard it can be expensive so I want to make sure I'm not overdue for a replacement.

According to Audi, it is recommended to replace your timing belt every 90,000 miles. However, some mechanics suggest replacing it every 60,000 miles to be safe. It is better to err on the side of caution and replace it earlier rather than face costly repairs from a snapped belt.

Every car is different, but if your Audi has been driven consistently in extreme weather conditions or has been used for heavy towing, it is best to replace the timing belt every 60,000 miles. This is to prevent potential damage from wear and tear.
