How do I troubleshoot my Audi A4's engine oil light being on?

My Audi A4's engine oil light has been on for a few days now. I checked the oil level and it seems to be fine. What could be causing this and how can I solve it? Thank you in advance!

Hi John, thanks for reaching out. The engine oil light may be on due to a faulty oil pressure sensor or a clogged oil filter. I recommend taking your car to a mechanic to have it checked and possibly replaced.

Hey John, the problem could also be caused by low oil pressure in the engine. I suggest checking the oil pressure using a manual gauge or taking it to a mechanic for a thorough diagnosis.

Hi John, it's possible that the oil light is on because the engine oil is too old and needs to be changed. Make sure to follow the recommended oil change intervals for your Audi A4.
