How Do I Switch Off the Audi A4 Automatic Start-Stop Function?

I find the automatic start-stop function on my Audi A4 distracting and would like to switch it off. Can someone advise on how to do this properly to prevent any potential damage to the engine?

To disable the start-stop function, press the Auto Start Stop button located just above the gear shift lever on the center console. Keep in mind that this will reset to activating the function by default each time you restart the vehicle.

If you want to permanently turn off the auto start-stop function, you can do so by changing the setting in the vehicle's computer using a VAG-COM/VCDS diagnostic tool. A certified technician would be able to assist with this.
