How do I reset the trip computer on my Audi A4?

I recently purchased a used Audi A4 and I'm not sure how to reset the trip computer. Can anyone give me step-by-step instructions?

To reset the trip computer on your Audi A4, simply press and hold the small button on the side of your dashboard until the trip computer resets to zero. You can also reset individual trip meters by pressing the button once.

I've had the same issue with my Audi A4, and what worked for me was resetting the entire car's computer. To do this, disconnect the negative battery terminal for a few minutes, then reconnect it and start your car.
