To reset the MMI system, press and hold the Menu, CAR, and Setup buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds. This will reboot the system and it should be working again.

Another option is to disconnect the car's battery for 10-15 minutes and then reconnect it. This may also reset the MMI system.
