I'm having issues with my MMI system freezing and not responding. What steps can I take to reset it and hopefully fix the issue?
ReplyFirst, try holding down the control knob in the center console for 10 seconds. This will force a reset of the MMI system. If that doesn't work, try disconnecting the car battery for a few minutes and then reconnecting it. This will also reset the MMI system.
Another option is to use the MMI hidden menu to reset the system. To access this menu, press and hold the CAR and SETUP buttons simultaneously for about 5 seconds. Then navigate to the 'reset MMI' option and confirm. Keep in mind that this may erase any saved settings or presets.
If the issue persists, it may be a hardware problem and you should visit a certified Audi technician for assistance. They will be able to diagnose and fix any underlying issues with the MMI system.
