How do I properly change the oil in my Audi A4?

I recently bought an Audi A4 and I want to make sure I am changing the oil properly to maintain the engine's performance. What steps should I follow?

First, park your Audi A4 on a flat and level surface. Locate the oil drain plug and remove it with a wrench. Make sure you have a drain pan below to catch the old oil.

Next, remove the oil filter using an oil filter wrench. Dispose of the old filter and replace it with a new one. Make sure to coat the new filter's rubber gasket with some fresh oil before installing.

After replacing the oil filter, screw the oil drain plug back in and refill the engine with the appropriate amount of new oil. Refer to your owner's manual or the oil cap for the correct viscosity and capacity.
