How do I maintain the brake pads on my Audi A8?

I recently purchased a used Audi A8 and I'm wondering what steps I can take to ensure that the brake pads are functioning properly. How often should I check and replace them? What warning signs should I look out for? Any specific maintenance tips for this model?

It is recommended to have your brake pads checked every 10,000 miles and replaced every 25,000 miles. However, it's always a good idea to visually inspect them every few months to make sure they are not excessively worn down.

If you hear a squealing or grinding noise when applying the brakes, that could be a sign that your brake pads are worn down and need to be replaced. Also, pay attention to any vibrations or pulsing in the brake pedal. These could be indications of worn brake pads.
