How do I know when it's time to change my Audi A4's brake pads?

I recently bought an Audi A4 and I'm not sure when I should replace the brake pads. The car has about 30,000 miles on it and the brakes seem to be working fine. Is there a way to know when it's time to change the brake pads?

It's best to follow the manufacturer's recommendation for replacing brake pads, which is usually around 25,000-30,000 miles. However, if you notice any issues with braking, such as squeaking or longer stopping distances, it's best to have them inspected and possibly replaced sooner.
