How do I fix the Audi MMI system freezing issue?

I cannot seem to access any of the functions on my Audi MMI infotainment system because it keeps freezing. Is there a way to fix this issue and prevent it from happening again?

First, try resetting your MMI system by pressing and holding the function button for 10 seconds. If that doesn't work, try updating the software. You can either do this yourself or take it to a dealership.
