How do I disable Audi A4's automatic start/stop feature?

I find the engine turning off and on when stopped to be quite annoying. Is there a way to prevent this without causing any damage?

To disable the automatic start/stop feature in your Audi A4, press the button located next to the gear shifter when the engine is running. This will turn off the feature until the next time you start your vehicle.
