How do I check the oil level and condition in my Audi A4?

I recently purchased a used Audi A4 and want to make sure the oil level and condition are good. How can I do this myself without taking it to a mechanic?

To check the oil level, park your Audi on a flat surface and wait for the engine to cool down. Locate the oil dipstick, pull it out and wipe it clean with a cloth. Reinsert the dipstick and pull it out again to check the oil level. The oil should be between the minimum and maximum marks. As for the condition, check for any discoloration or particles in the oil.
