How do I check my oil levels in my Audi A1?

I just purchased an Audi A1 and I want to make sure I am maintaining its engine properly. How can I check the oil levels to ensure it is at the correct level?

First, make sure your car is on a level surface. Open the hood and locate the dipstick, it should have a yellow handle. Pull it out and wipe it clean with a cloth. Insert it back into the oil reservoir, then pull it out again and check the level of oil. It should be between the minimum and maximum level marks. If it is below the minimum mark, you need to add oil.
