How do I change the cabin air filter on my Audi A1?

I recently bought a used Audi A1 and I want to make sure the cabin air filter is clean and functioning properly. However, I'm not sure where to locate it or how to replace it. Can anyone provide me with a step-by-step guide or any tips for this process?

Hi Samantha, changing the cabin air filter on an Audi A1 is relatively simple. First, locate the filter housing which is usually located behind the glove box. Remove the clips or screws that hold the housing in place and then open it up.

Once the housing is open, you should be able to see the old filter. Take it out and replace it with a new one. Make sure to check your owner's manual to ensure you are using the correct filter for your specific model.

After replacing the filter, you can put the housing back in place and secure it with the clips or screws. It's recommended to change the cabin air filter every 15,000-20,000 miles to ensure clean air in your car's cabin.
