How do I adjust the headrest in an Audi A5?

I've just purchased a used Audi A5 and I can't figure out how to adjust the headrest. It seems stuck in one position and it's not very comfortable. Can anyone provide guidance on how to adjust the headrest?

I eventually discovered that you need to pull the headrest all the way up to its highest position, then press and hold the release button.
