How can I troubleshoot a rough idle issue in my Audi A6?

Recently, my Audi A6 has been experiencing a rough idle, where the engine seems to vibrate or shake when stopped in traffic or at a stop light. I'm not sure what could be causing this and I'm not very familiar with car maintenance. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
