How can I activate Remote Access Homelink on my Audi A6?

I just purchased a new Audi A6 and I'm trying to set up the Remote Access Homelink feature. Can anyone provide detailed instructions on how to activate this feature? I want to be able to remotely control my home's garage door and security system through my car.

To activate Remote Access Homelink on your Audi A6, first make sure you have a compatible garage door opener and security system. Then, press and hold the two outside buttons on your car's Homelink panel until the LED flashes. I had the same issue with my Audi A6. Make sure your car is parked outside of the garage when programming Homelink, otherwise it may pick up signals from nearby structures and interfere with the process.
