Checking the Oil Level on an Audi A5

I recently purchased an Audi A5 and want to make sure I am properly maintaining it. How do I check the oil level and make sure it is at the correct level?

To check the oil level on your Audi A5, start by parking your car on a level surface and turning off the engine. Locate the oil dipstick, typically a yellow handle, and remove it. Wipe the dipstick clean, reinsert it into the engine, and then remove it again to see where the oil level falls.

In addition to checking the oil level manually, your Audi A5 may also have an electronic oil level sensor. This can be found in the dashboard display and will alert you if your oil is low or needs to be changed. Simply follow the instructions on the display to reset the sensor after adding oil.
