Audi A1 - Understanding Engine Oil Grades

What are the differences between 5W-30 and 10W-40 engine oil? Which one is better for my Audi A1?

Both 5W-30 and 10W-40 engine oil can be used in your Audi A1, but they have different viscosities. 5W-30 is thinner and flows better at lower temperatures while 10W-40 is thicker and better for higher temperatures.

For normal driving conditions, it is recommended to use 5W-30 engine oil in your Audi A1. But if you live in a hotter climate or frequently drive in extreme conditions, 10W-40 may be a better option.
