If fuel efficiency is your top priority, I would recommend going with the 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. It not only gets better gas mileage, but it also has a lower starting price compared to the V6 option.
One thing to keep in mind is that opting for the quattro all-wheel drive system with either engine option will slightly reduce fuel efficiency. So if you live in an area without much inclement weather, consider sticking with the standard front-wheel drive.
